Wine Country Rug Hookers invited Elizabeth Black to teach 2 workshops in June 2003. I took both workshops and worked on Thomas, the family cat, for the second workshop. Fur is a challenge and you learn to hook small #3 cut strokes in the direction of the fur. When I finished hooking Thomas, I realized that I could make him into a Rug Doll. Forget the plan to put in an Italian landscape as a backdrop.
Thomas is a popular fellow and stays at my mother's house. Emma enjoys his company and I get to visit him when I go to my studio at Emma's place; the House of 2 Studios!
Do you have a 'Tuxedo Cat'? Pattern available.
